Draw Your Dreams

Vision boards are nothing new, but I’m here to tell you they definitely help you fulfill your dreams!

Way back in college, I drew a picture of a man. The intention was that it would be the man I would marry someday. I recently came across it and showed it to my daughter. I asked her, “Who is this?” She immediately responded, “Daddy.”

I then showed it to my best friend and she said, “That looks nothing like your husband.” Okay, so I’m not an artist, but the point is, when I look at the drawing and my daughter looks at it – we both see the same person. For me, that vision came true.

Since we are stuck inside with the frozen tundra here, my daughter wanted me to create art with her. She drew a pet store/veterinary office. At the age of 6, she wants to be a veterinarian. At the age of 6, I wanted to be a writer. I drew a photo of a bookstore with my books displayed on a table.

As you can clearly see from my drawings, you don’t have to be an artist to put your dreams on paper. I also have an old fashioned vision board where I pasted pictures and words from magazines. Now there are even apps for vision boards. I like and use the Jack Canfield Vision Board app.

I encourage you to embrace your inner child and draw your dreams!
