Animals Show Up to Inspire You

You might be rolling your eyes at this, but bear with me for a moment.

This morning, two cranes were outside my window making a whole lot of noise. They visit my house about four times a year. When they show up, I’m reminded of what they represent and it inspires me. Cranes are a symbol of happiness, good fortune, and eternal youth. Now if that isn’t motivational, I don’t know what is!

Two weeks ago, I saw a turtle crossing the road. I’m sure you can guess what they represent! You got it–slow down and be patient. The appearance of the turtle forces me to reflect on areas of my life where I may be rushing.

There’s a rabbit that hangs out around my house, particularly on my doorstep. You know what it’s telling me? Creativity is at work in my life and abundant opportunities are on the way. Powerful!

Every now and then, I come across a deer, standing frozen and staring at me on the side of the road. Deer inspire you to move gently into new areas. This makes me take a step back and take a different approach to something I’m working on.

One animal that always makes me smile is the cardinal. Now seeing a cardinal is surely a good omen, but personally I think of my Grandpa who has passed on. One day my Grandpa popped into my mind right when I saw the cardinal and whenever I see one now, I associate the two. I believe it’s a sign he’s watching over me.

My favorite is the hawk that sits on my deck. This majestic creature brings with it a message that you have the power within you to reach great heights. Truly spectacular!

And as I finish up this post, my cat has crawled up on my lap, which reminds me of the cat I crossed paths with on a recent vacation. A cat tells you mystery and magic are afoot. Now I’m intrigued…
